William Thomas Crayne, 68, of Jefferson died at 12:40 a.m. in the Greene County Memorial Hospital Friday, April 27, 1951, following a serious illness of five days.
Mr. Crayne was born on June 11, 1882, in Jefferson Township, a son of the late Jacob Harry and Rebecca Arabelle Bosworth Crayne.
He was twice married. His first wife, Bessie Huffman, whom he married on Jan. 1, 1903, in deceased. His second wife, Ida M. Godfrey Crayne, Survives. They were married on November 11, 1947.
He spent most of his life in Jefferson and was a member of the Jefferson Methodist Church. For the past nine years he had been employed at the Harold Bell poultry farm near Jefferson.
Surviving besides his wife are two sisters, Mrs. Ida M. Pitcock, Dunn Station R. D. 2, and Mrs. Jessie V. Pollock, Marianna R. D. 3; several nieces and nephews. A brother, David H. Crayne, is deceased.
