"POLLY KARR, 91, IS CALLED BY DEATH
Polly Phillips Karr, 91, pioneer of 1846, died Thursday morning at the home of her son, R. E. Karr, at Canby. She had lived at Canby the last 19 years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 o'clock from the R. E. Karr residence at Canby, Rev. Wayne Wright, officiating. Internment will follow at the Multnomah Cemetery.

Polly Phillips was born near Carmi, Ill., October 20, 1842, and came to Oregon with her parents, the late Hiram and Polly Phillips, arriving near this city September 26, 1846. She was married on July 4, 1866 to Henry Karr, now deceased. Surviving are three sons, and three daughters.

The remains are at the Holman-Pace & Hankins Mortuary."
