Mrs. Winters was born on May 14, 1928 in Muncie, IN, the daughter of Morton Pence and Martha (Campbell) Pence. She married Walter Saddler and he preceded her in death in August 1994. She later married David Winters and he preceded her in death in 1998.
She was a housewife, a member of the First Apostolic Church, Harrisburg, IL, and a good mom of six kids.
Surviving relatives include six children, Bill Saddler and friend Susie, Herrin, IL, Michael Saddler and wife Joyce, Thompsonville, IL, Tim Saddler, Parrish, IL, David Saddler, Raleigh, IL, Lorraine Roth and husband Hank, Freeman Spur, IL, Kathy Smith and husband Floyd, Raleigh, IL, ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, one brother, Clifford Pence and wife Cleta Mae, Sassafras, KY, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Winters was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two granddaughters, one great-grandson, one sister, Mabel Zawislak, two brothers, Clyde and Claude Pence,
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Philip Fritts officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery, Benton, IL.
