Anna Krizek, the daughter of Michael and Vronika Kunc Smejkal, was born April 4, 1897 on the Smejkal Homestead near Glasco in Ottawa County, Kansas. She died on April 7, 1986, at the Delphos, Kansas Rest Home at the age of 89. Anna was a lifelong resident of the Glasco and Delphos area. She attended the Bohemian School and also Delphos High School. Anna was orphaned at the age of seven and was cared for by her grandmother.

Anna was united in marriage with Joseph Krizek and one son was born to that union. Joseph died in 1932 and their son, Victor, died tragically in 1975. Anna worked several years keeping house and caring for elderly people in their homes. She was a member of the Delphos Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Diane Lee, Raytown, MO; Vickie thompson, Archie, MO; and Joe Krizek, Fairbanks, Alaska; four great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Dwaine Smejkal of Glasco.

In addition to her husband and her son, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles and Eddie Smejkal.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thrusday, April 10, at the Dean Funeral Home, Glasco, with Rev. Robert Winters officiating. Burial will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery, Ottawa County.

Memorials my be made to the Delphos Rest Home.

Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
