David Davis, an old resident of the Plymouth bough died on Thursday morning. He was injured by a rock fall at the Boston D &H colliery on Monday June 15. Altho the injury not serious in his weekend condition he was inflicted with meningitis afterwards, not being able to recover. He lived in the area for half a century.
He was a Veteran of the ?Civil War, joining Co. I. 199th Pennsylvanian Volunteers. In the year 1863 and served to the end of the conflict. A member of the local post of the G. A. R. and also of Odd fellows.
He is survived by his wife and the following children; Mrs Walter May of Plymouth, Mrs Liewellyn Waters, William, Irving,and Miss Emma.
