born: March 23, 1740 at Coventry CT

He was a member of Capt. Timothy Bush's company of Vermont Militia in 1777, and in 1780 went out on the alarm at Royalton. He was born in Coventry, Conn., moved first to Lebanon, NH, and then to Vermont.
