Nellie Heath was the daughter of Rev William Redmond Heath and his wife Emily Salmon from Daviess Co MO. Rev William Heath, her father ministered at the Heath Chapel from 1880-1910. Nellie married 9 March 1910 in Bethany MO Roy Bert Goble, the son of Joseph Whitlock Goble b. 1846 IN and his wife Maryann Jeffries b. MO and they Nellie and Roy Bert Goble lived in Butler Twp, Harrison Co. MO. They had 3 children: Herbert Redman Goble b. 3 Dec 1910, Clifford Elwood Goble born 25 Jan 1914, and Bertha Ellen Goble born 5 Sept 1917. Then the influenza epidemic hit the county and within a week, just days apart the entire family died but one baby: Bertha Ellen Goble who had been taken out of the house by Roy Bert Goble's sister in law, Leona (Shaughnessy) Goble, wife of Josiah Everett Goble. Bertha Ellen Goble, only surviving baby of this family was raised by her aunt and uncle Josiah Everett and Leona Goble along with their 3 children. Her uncle Josiah E Goble after his retirement moved to Elgin, Illinois where he died.

Mr. and Mrs. Josiah E. Goble of 503 1/2 Brook St. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday. They were married Feb 7 1909 in Matkins, MO where for many years they owned and operated the General Merchandise Store of Matkins. They retired and moved to Elgin, Illinois in 1949. Mr. and Mrs. Goble have four children, Mrs. Edna Miller of Anaheim, CA. Mrs. Bertha Marceau of Whittier, CA; Mrs. Goldie Karsch of Elgin, Illinois; and Alvin Goble also of Anaheim; and six grandchildren. The daughters assisted their parents in receiving guests at the open house held in the Masonic Temple. Their granddaughter, Cindy Kay Karsch was in charge of the guest book and piano music was furnished by Kerry Sue Karsch.

Note: Their only surviving daughter Bertha Ellen Goble born 1917 married Lester Fred Marceau and is buried in Nevada (see Find a Grave Palm Memorial Park, Clark Co. NV).
