Gerald (Jerry) Earlywine, 50, 4416 Apperson Way N., died at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital, following an 18-month illness of complications. He had been seriously ill since January.
He was born March 3, 1907, in Kokomo the son of Roscoe and Ethel Earlywine. On Jan. 22, 1954, he was married to Mildred Blackamore, who survives.
Mr. Earlywine was a co-owner in Indiana Sales. He was a member of the United Commercial Travelers. He spent the greater part of his life in Kokomo.
Surviving with the wife are the father, Roscoe of Magnolia Springs, Ala., four children by an former marriage, Bobby of Norwalk, O., Jackie of Kokomo, Billy, in the Army at Ft. Sill, Okla., and Mrs. Barbara Booher of Bell, Calif.; one stepson, Robert Blackamore of Kokomo, three brothes, Chester of Kokomo, George of Huntington, and Paul of Bell, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Chattin of Huntington and Mrs. Helen King of Ft. Wayne, and four grandchildren. The mother and one brother, Carl, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ellers Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clinton Bell officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 7 p.m. Monday to the hour of the service.
