Gary Fairchild, 68, of Corbin, formerly of Oil Springs, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008 at Lexington.
Born March 15, 1940, he was a son of the late Hubert and Vicie Estep Fairchild.
He was a secondary education teacher.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Fister of Lexington; fourbrothers, Bobby Fairchild of Round Rock, Texas, Paul Fairchild ofCanal-Winchester, Ohio, and Sherren Fairchild and Hubert Fairchild,both of Oil Springs; and two grandchildren
Funeral services were Sunday, Aug. 24, at Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel, with Dewey McCarty officiating.
Burial was in Fairchild Cemetery, Oil Springs, under direction of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
