Services for Morris Anderson, 54, of Channelview, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Vernon Church in Houston County with Rev. Elzine Strong officiating and burial in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born March 23, 1918, in Houston County and died Thursday in a Galveston hospital. He resided in Angelina County most of his life and was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors: wife, Lerline of Diboll; daughter Mrs. Janell Adlong of Channelview; 2 sons, Carrol of Pasadena and Floyd of Dallas; sisters, Mrs. R. B. Jett of Pt. Neches, Mrs. E. S. Hamilton of Hamshire and Mrs. Sam Donnell of Huntington; brother, R. H. of Port Neches; 6 grandchildren.
