May 17, 1907 "Ira Edwards, who has been suffering for some time with a complication of diseases, died on Wednesday morning while in Wray seeking medical aid.
Mr. Edwards was a native of New York and from there he moved to Fremont, Nebraska.
In 1885 he moved to Yuma where he has resided ever since. He has acted as county surveyor of Yuma county for several years and has done much in the interests of the county and citizens. He leaves two sons and two daughters, who have the sympathy of the citizens of the entire county in this their sad bereavement. Funeral services will be held here Saturday in the Methodist church of which he has been an active member."
