Allene "Granny" Arledge
93, widow of George B. Arledge, passed away at 5:45am Wednesday at the Fountain Circle Health and Rehab.

A native of Clark County and a wonderful Christian woman, she was the daughter of the late Dillard and Millie Perry Barker. Mrs. Arledge was a homemaker, quilter, gardner and a member of the Ephesus Baptist Church. Mrs. Arledge was a proud member of the DeMolay Organization Mother's Club and former owner of the Pine Restaurant.

Survivors include 6 children, Jay D. Spencer, Ruth Barnhouse, Lonnie Spencer all of Florida, Lee R. Spencer of Winchester, KY, Jim Arledge of Louisiana and Jubal Arledge of Winchester, KY; 20 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Arledge was preceded in death by a son Edward Arledge; her first husband, Carl Spencer; 2 sisters, Callie Davidson and Orabelle Spencer and a brother, Floyd Barker.

Services will be conducted at 10:00am Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Edwin Davis. Burial will follow in the Evans Crossings Cemetery in Campton, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Sean Arledge, Tony Spencer, Josh Arledge, Jonathon Arledge, Eddie Spencer and Joseph Arledge. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Spencer, George Arledge and Bill Barker.

Visitation will be 5:00PM to 7:00PM Friday at Scobee Funeral Home.
