Vladimer Andrew, 66, of Elkton, died Dec. 19, 1991, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Platoskayadon, Russia, on July 25, 1925, and was the son of the late Tsahan and Doonya Andreyev. He emigrated to the United States during World War II. He was sponsored by the Mill Creek Church of the Brethren on his arrival with his family in Virginia.

He was most recently employed by Dunham Bush of Harrisonburg as a field service engineer. He had previously been employed for many years as a service manager for Long Oil Co.

He is survived by his wife, Vera Stepachok Andrew of Elkton; his son and daughter-in-law, Eduardo and Suzanne Andreyev of Windsor, Conn.; a daughter, Lidia White of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Mari and Larry McDaniel of Blackstone, Va. He also leaves six grandchildren, Nina, Lara, Alaina Andreyev, Christopher and Tanya White, Nicole McDaniel; as well as extended family in Russia.

The funeral will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Mill Creek Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Thomas W. Geiman. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 this evening at the Kyger & Trobaugh Funeral Home on State Route 639 at Home on State Route 639 at Elkton.
