Fern Rosella Peters, the daughter of Stanley and Alice (Felton) Adamson, was born on April 28, 1912 on a farm near Angus, Nebraska. She passed away on March 12, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 97 years, 10 months and 14 days.
Fern attended Eden school south of Wauneta, Nebraska. She was baptized as a young lady in the Little Blue River near Angus, Nebraska, and was a member of the Nelson Church of Christ.
She was united in marriage to Forrest Peters on August 15, 1932 in McCook, Nebraska. To this union were born 3 children.
Fern throughout her lifetime lived in the communities of Boulder, Colorado; Angus, Wauneta, Holdrege, Hastings and Nelson all in Nebraska. She was a member of the Eden Sunshine Club, and the Nelson Quilting Ladies. Her hobby was quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Forrest, on January 6, 1996; son, Wayne, grandsons: Bob Peters, Donald Peters and Dirk Cain, 3 sisters: Florence Maris, Mildred Beezley and Lila Prior; and son-in-law, Elbert Filer.
Survivors include her daughters: Phyllis Yvonne Filer of Dacono, Colorado, and Delores Friberg and husband, Ronald, of Nelson, Nebraska, and daughter-in-law, Arlene Prince of Kimball, Nebraska; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
