MANUEL ABRAHAMSON
John Manuel Abrahamson, son of August and Fredericka Abrahamson, was born July 22, 1884 and departed this life at the Baker Nursing Home December 31, 1964 at the age of 80 years, five months and nine days.
He was born in Lucas county were he grew to manhood and spent his entire life.
On July 15, 1906, he was united in marriage to Artie Pearl Holder and to this union were born three sons and one daughter, Leonard and Albert of Chariton, Amos of Albia, Esther Morton of Chariton.
After his marriage he engaged in farming and continued his chose endeavor until his health forced his retirement.
He was a member of the Mason Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, one brother, Charles, two sisters, Esther and Laura and two granddaughters.
He leaves to mourn his loss his faithful wife, Artie, three sons and daughter, one brother, Walter of Williamson, 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., January 2, 1965 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. The Rev. Lyle Borger officiated at the services. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
