He was born on August 3, 1918 in Tinaja, NM. He is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Carolina Cruz. Mr. Cruz is survived by his wife, Beatrice Cruz; sons, Benjamin A. Cruz and wife, Gertrude and John Cruz and fiance, Anita; one daughter, Josephine Gilcrease and husband, William; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Bennie will be deeply missed by his loving family. Final viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m with Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Palmo Valente S.F. at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Roberto Romero, Transito Romero, Lorenzo Herrera, Don E. Graham, Quintin Pacheco and Vicente Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Medina, Elmer Medina, Michael Benjey, Jimmy Gallegos, Leroy Romero, Carlos Herrera, John Lopez, Joe Frank Padilla Jr. and Mario Medina.
