Funeral services for Mr. Ruben R. Smith, 91, of Livingston will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday February 28 from the First United Methodist Church, Livingston, TN with burial in Overton County Memorial Gardens, Livingston, TN. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m.
Mr. Smith died February 26, 2004 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born March 15, 1912 in Pickett County to the late Mac and Lucinda Young Smith. He was a retired auto dealer.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Livingston and a Shriner.
He is survived by a daughter, Carol (& Charles) Langford of Livingston; grandchildren, Michelle (& Mike) Bowman and Mike (& Tina) Langford; great-grandchildren, Nicole Thrasher, Danielle Thrasher, Matthew Thrasher, Bonnie Bowman, Colby Langford, Colin Langford, & Cori Langford; sisters, Veachel Hill of Minnesota, Wilma Livermore of Michigan, and Vella Mae Sparkman of Michigan; a brother, Roger Smith of Florida; and several nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mildred Swallows Smith, and a sister, Zell Gutohrlein.
