Obituary Cain
Lily M. Reynolds was born Jan. 24, 1873, in Indiana, and died in Allerton, Iowa, August 27, 1904, aged 31 years, 7 months and 2 days. Except for a few years her life had been spent in this town. She was a graduate of the Allerton high school in the class of 1890. As a student she was respected by her classmates and teachers for her splendid intellect and industry, as well as for her genial social qualities.
In 1891 she was an efficient and faithful clerk in the Post Office. Married to Frank A. Cain, Jan. 12, 1892. Obeying the gospel Feb. 19, 1894, she became a member of the Church of Christ, in which she lived and died a faithful disciple of the Master. She leaves a husband and four children to fight the remaining battles of life without her wise counsel and faithful efforts. Her aged father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Reynolds, and a large family of brothers and sisters are left to mourn her loss.
Deceased was a faithful member of the W.R.C., which organization held services at the home and attended the funeral from the Christian chapel Sunday, Aug. 28th, at 4 p.m. which was conducted by Elder S. H. Hendrix assisted by the pastor, Elder H. G. Waggoner. Her frail body goes to earth but her great mind and soul is at rest with God.
