In 1881 the Reynolds family moved from Indiana to Allerton, Iowa, where they resided until the death of the parents. Horace was never married but lived in the homes of different ones of the family, spending the last three years in the home where he passed away.
He leaves to mourn his departure his oldest brother, O. H. Reynolds of Decatur, and his youngest sister, Mrs. C. F. Houck of Van Wert. Also a large number of nephews and nieces, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on November 26th at the Christian church in Van Wert, by H. O. Tuttle and interment made in the Van Wert cemetery.
