Irene attended the Winthrop public schools until she moved with her parents to Newell In 1929. She entered the third grade here and has been a regular and faithful student ever since.
She was a member of the freshman class during the past year, and was active in outdoor sports, being a member of the women's softball team here this summer as were also her sisters Martha and Ione. Irene was not a member of the Baptist church altho she attended this church since she was eight years old.
Her father preceded her in death 11 months ago. She leaves to mourn her untimely death her heartbroken mother, Mrs. John Larsen, five brothers, Vernon, Edward, Kenneth, Donald and Charles and five sisters, Mrs. Mildred Kargl of Los Angeles, Calf., Ione, Martha, Lucille and Jeanette and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many friends.
Irene will be greatly missed at home and in the school and church as well as other places as she was of a happy, lovable and sunny disposition and made friends easily. To know her was to love her always.
