Funeral services for Mrs. Noella Coleman Caldwell, 93, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2008 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, La with Rev. Ellen Montegudo officiating. Interment will follow at Vivian Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Caldwell was born on August 10, 1915 in McClain, MS, but moved to Vivian, La, where she spent most of her life. She passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. Mrs. Caldwell was a longtime member of the Vivian United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles B. Caldwell; parents, Dr. and Mrs. Robert H. Coleman; sisters, Dorothy, Selby and Ruth and brothers, Buddy and Robert.

She is survived by her daughter, Gwen C. Melancon and husband, Louis of Haughton, La and sons, Charles H. Caldwell and wife, Beverly of Gilliam, La, Robert "Fud" Caldwell and wife, Charlotte of Vivian, La, Daniel M. Caldwell and wife, Beverly of Haughton, La and Michael R. Caldwell of Shreveport, La. Mrs. Caldwell is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Parker, Jeff McLaurin, Joe Guglielmo, Tony Hale, Todd Greer and Jan Norris.

The family would like to thank the staff of Montclair Park and Circle of Love Hospice for all they did for our mother and especially the ladies of the Memory Care Unit, who showed so much love and kindness to our mother and all of our family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Methodist Children's Home in Ruston, La or to the Vivian United Methodist Church.
