W. D. ANDERSON DIES: FUNERAL HELD SUNDAY
William Daniel Anderson, 52, died Thursday, December 3rd at 3:20 P.M. at the Wilson County hospital. He had been ill about a year. Cause of death was given as carcinoma.
William was born July 14, 1907, in Neodesha to Delva Freeman and Minnie Anderson. He lived in Neodesha and independence all his life. On July 2, 1939, he was married to Miss Ganell Carver at Gras Valley, California. She survives at the home at 1618 North 9th Street.
He is also survived by his Mother Mrs. Minnie Anderson, Neodesha; four sisters; Mrs. Raymond Tulliver, Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Dan Cook and Mrs. Vernon Hubbard, both of Neodesha; and four brothers, Lonnie Anderson, Neodesha; Charles Anderson, Hawthorne, California; Kenneth Anderson, Manhattan and J.W. Anderson, Lafontaine. He was preceded in death by his father, Delva F. Anderson on June 23, 1954.
Mr. Anderson was a truck driver but in June of 1958 he retired because of ill health. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Funeral Services were held at the Church of the Nazarene Sunday at 2 P.M. with the Rev. Wendell Paris, assisted by the Rev. Irene Irene Lindsay officiating. Internment was in Neodesha Cemetery.
Out of town relatives attending the services were Mr and Mrs. Frank Bryson, Thayer; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Tollier, Kansas City, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson, Hawthorne, California; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Anderson, Manhattan; Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Anderson, Lafontaine; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith, Cherryville; Mrs. and Mrs. Alfred Anderson and daughter, Wichita; Mrs. Theda Anderson, Independence; Mrs. and Mrs. C. H. Redington, Altoona; Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Carver, Miss Novella Gentry, Bert Carver, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Douglas, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carter, all of Chanute and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Russell of Altoona.
