KENNETH W. ANDERSON Kenneth Wilbur (Andy) Anderson of Manhattan died Thursday, June 11, 1998 at his home. He was 78. Grave side services were held Monday, June 15, at 9:20 A.M. at Sunset Cemetery in Manhattan uner the direction of the Yorgensen - Meloan - Londeen Funeral Home.
The son of Delva R. and Minnie M. (Redington) Anderson, he was born July 21, 1919 at Neodesha. Mr. Anderson served in the United States Army from 1940 until 1945 during World War II as a staff Sergant.
He was the owner and operator of Anderson Supply Company and had also owned and was the mechanic for a race car. He was united in marriage to Wilma Jean Wilkinson on January 11, 1947 at Olathe. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 1786 in Manhattan.
Preceding him in death were a son Charles R. Anderson and six brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Jean, of the home; three daughters, Wanda Sue Edinger of Sacramento, California; Karen Kay Humphrey of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Lea Ann Dyer of Wamego; two sisters, Dorothy M. Cook and Emma Joan Hubbard, both of Neodesha; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
