Edward Prudhomme died at Mount Ascutney Hospital in Windsor, VT on May 21, 1977 after a long illness. He was born on July 15, 1913 in Claremont; the son of Alfred and Rosealma (Messier) Prudhomme.

He had lived most of his life in Claremont before moving to Charlestown, NH five years ago. He was immediate past president of St Mary's cemetery association. He was a shoe cutter and in recent years, he was employed by the Jones and Lamson Machine Co in Springfield, VT

He married Eleanor Smith on October 9, 1941 in Claremont.

He was preceded in death by son Brian.

The family includes his wife; daughter Janet Sloan of Springfield, VT; three grandchildren; and a sister Beatrice Hart of Claremont.

Burial is in St Mary's Cemetery.
