Robert, known by family and friends as Bob, was also known in the Houston Chronicle pressroom as Jim. Bob worked as a pressman for the Houston Chronicle for more then 46 years before he retired at the age of 75. He had also worked as a pressman in Pensacola, FL, Washington, DC, Memphis, TN and Kansas City, KA. Bob was past Commander of American Legion Post 391 and a member of the 40 & 8, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Cade-Rothwell Lodge 1151, AF&AM and the Houston Newspaper Pressman's Local 43
