Mr. Culverhouse graduated from Lanier High School. He was an alumni of Mercer University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. He served in the United States Marines during the Korean War. Mr. Culverhouse was in the monument business for 50 years before retiring from Clark Memorials. He was a member of Martha Bowman United Methodist Church and was previously Superintendant of the Sunday School. Mr. Culverhouse was also a member of the Howard Community Club and the Macon Exchange Club.
He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to family, friends, and community. He spent his entire life in the unselfish service of others and his generosity, love and compassion were evident in all that he did. In his later years, that spirit of friendship and generosity continued in his beloved vegetable garden where he and his many friends often gathered.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sherry, and his sister Ann Culverhouse. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Kenton M. and Ana Maria Culverhouse of Roswell, GA, and son, Keith Pierce Culverhouse of Macon; one grandson, Aidan John Dibble of Milledgeville, GA; and brother, John H. Culverhouse, Jr. and his wife, Faye of Macon and numerous nephews and nieces.
