Coaticook, March 9 - It was with deep regret that many relatives and friends in Coaticook and the surrounding community learned of the death of WILLIAM TWOFOOT, who passed away on Tuesday, February 9th, after an
illness of less than twenty-four hours duration.
The deceased who was fifty-seven years of age, had been strong, and in good health until a few days before his death, which occured in DR. CHURCH's office where he had been taken for treatment.
A kind-hearted and generous man, MR. TWOFOOT's death is sadly felt by all who knew him, and especially by his sister, MRS. WILLIAM NICHOLSON, with whom he made his home for the past five years.
A very impressive and sympathetic funeral service was conducted by REV. MR. WALLACE in the Baptist Church, and the hymns "Abide with me," "Lead kindly light" and "Rock of Ages," were rendered by the choir.
The bearers were EUGENE and FRANK BISHOP, LOREN LADD, SHARMON MALONEY,ISAAC DREW and GORDON GRADY. Interment took place at Crooker Cemetery, Dixville,beside his late wife, nee MARY MAYHEW, who preceded him thirty-five years ago.
MR. TWOFOOT leaves to mourn his loss, three daughters, VERIAN, ETHEL and MARION,of Boston, Mass.; four sisters, CARRIE who was unable to be present at the funeral
on account of illness, ETTA, EMMA and VERNICE, and three brothers, ALBERT, DENNIS and NEWELL.
Among those who attended the funeral were Messers. BERT TWOFOOT and EARL TWOFOOT, of Coaticook, MRS. WILL WASHBURN of Rock Island, MR. and MRS. D. TWOFOOT of Island Pond, VT., MR. and MRS. MATTHEW BLAKE, MISS VERA BLAKE,
MR. KENNETH BLAKE, MRS. LLOYD LYON and MRS. LOUIS CHARLAND, all of BALDWIN's Mills. MR. NEWELL TWOFOOT of Way's Mills, MR. and MRS. W. NICHOLSON and the
