Aileen C. (Lamb) Bering, 88, of Decatur died 11:35 p.m. Monday (April 17, 1995) in her home. Mrs. Bering was born Feb. 24, 1907, in Decatur, the daughter of Laurens and Mary A. Laux Cook. Mrs. Bering was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and then St. James Catholic Church. She was very active in church and community activities for many years. She married Horace Bering on Oct. 7, 1928. He preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 1968. Surviving are her sons, Horace C. Bering of Moore Haven, Fla.; Wilson Bering of Decatur; John Bering of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters, Mrs. James (Patricia) McClintick of Milford, N.H.; Mrs. Frank (Aileen) Sines of St. Cloud, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.
