Mable Roberts Neville, age 86 of Coffeyville, Kansas, passed away March 25th at St. Francis Hospital, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born March 9, 1924 in Neodesha, Kansas, to Everett and Dorothy Roberts. She married Conan Charles (Chuck) Neville on June 1, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After living a short while in Coffeyville, they moved to the farm, one mile north of Valeda, Kansas. They raised cattle, farmed and had a trucking business. Mabel worked for Dr. Ellis and Dr. Ralph Alters, before receiving her licenses to work with Home Health Patients, and worked for Coffeyville Regional Medical Center and Windsor Place. In 1989 they moved back to Coffeyville where she and her husband bred and showed their prize winning English bulldogs.

She was a member of the Tyro Christian Church.

She is survived by two step brothers, Bill and Bob Thomas, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, a number of nieces and a nephew, and lifetime friends and caregivers, Sharon Kuehn of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, and Beverly Larrick, of DeSoto, Kansas. .

Mable was preceded in death by her husband, Conan, father, mother, a step father Baird Thomas, three sister's Delsie Roberts, Elsie Mangrum and Margaret Hollis, and one step brother Charles Thomas.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 29, at North Edna Cemetery, Edna, Kansas, with Rev. David Bycroft of the Tyro Christian Church officiating.

Friends may call Sunday, March 28, 2010, from noon until 8 P.M. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
