Levisa was the daughter of John Cox and Elizabeth Fletcher. She married Garland Hurt on 2 Nov 1882. They had 12 children.

FUNERAL RITES FOR MRS. HURT
Last rites were held Wednesday
for Mrs. Levician Hurt who died
of paralysis at the home of her
grandson Monday night. Mrs.
Hurt was 80 years old.
Funeral services were conduct-
ed at the home with Rev. Charlie
Perkins of Swords Creek, officiat-
ing. Interment was made in
Hankins cemetery.
She is survived by six children,
Mrs. A. T. Young, of Pocahontas,
Frank Hurt, of Swords Creek, Mrs.
John Bales, Mrs. J. M. Lane, Mrs.
Charlie Bales and Corb Hurt all
of Raven.
