Abner Hose was born in Hardy Co Wv 1867 he was s/o Peter & Eliza Cook Hose. he married in Hardy Co West Va.on Oct 13.1894. Laura Nettie Pope. She was dau of Jonathan Pope and Sarah Halterman. she was born in 1875.Laura was asister to Hope. Pope who married Jonah Hose. and sisters Faith and Charity. Laura was noted to have attened the Dover Elemetary School where her father also taught.Abner played a Fiddle. and Laura a Autoharp,and when they played together people gathered at night to listen to their music. They would not play on Sunday's as they did not believe the Lord's day was for foolishness. It is said that these instruments are still in the family today. given to their childeren,. but sadly out of tune naturally. Jonah died of Senility. in 1941 and was buried at the Fitzwater cemetery, Laura died 1945. buried with Abner in this cemetery, pic of grave suplied by Barb Sterling,There are only two children noted for as. Sarah Marie Hose b June 29,1896 di Nov 2.1968 burial loc unk. Anna Bertha Hose b Sept 2.1904 d 1962 burial loc unk.
