1932 ~ 2003Lois McKean Davis, age 71, joined her sweetheart October 3, 2003. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the University of Utah Medical Center following a serious brain aneurysm.Lois was born Jan 14, 1932 in Birdseye, UT to Theodorous and Iva McKean. She married Raymond Leon Davis Feb 9, 1953 in the Manti Temple.She was a loyal devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, and sister. She was an example of elegance in everything she did. She was a wonderful homemaker and her goal was to always make sure that everyone was happy and that no one had their feelings hurt.Her constant concern was to serve others. This was particularly significant because she seldom was in good health herself. She never complained about anything. If she had a fault it was not telling the "truth" about her health. When asked, she would always reply "Oh I'm alright." While this was not true of her physical health it was true of her angelic character.She served in many callings in the church but she loved serving in the Jordan River Temple with her husband the most even though it was physically difficult for her.She is survived by her loving children, Melvin (Shauna), Duane (Cindy), Elaine Christensen (Lane), Karl (Jana); 15 grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; three sisters; and a brother. She was preceded in death, two weeks ago, by her loving husband Raymond; parents; three sisters; and infant son, Raymond.Services Tues. Oct 7, 2003, 12 noon Larkin Sunset Mortuary, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT. Friends and family can pay their respects Mon. Oct 6, 2003, 6-9 p.m. and Oct 7, 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to the service.
