William F. Frank, age 94, died Friday, September 15, 1978 at his residence in Eland.

He was born August 24, 1884 in Germany, the son of the late August and Juliana (Wagner) Frank.

On October 10, 1914 William was united in marriage to Hannah Thone in Ashland. She preceded him in death on December 29, 1950.

Survivors include one son, William Frank, Jr., Two Rivers; five daughters, Lorraine (Richard) Squires, Mason, WI, Lois (Lester) Pendergast, Stevens Point, Ruth Frank, Weyauwega, Ruby Lucille (James) Ringstad, Eland and Shirley (Jack) Helm, Maple Plain, MN; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Philip and Paul, both of Neenah; and one sister, Martha Frank, Eland.

In addition to his wife and parents, William was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, August and Ralph, one sister, Tillie (Clarence) Graves and one son, Paul.

Funeral services were held September 17, 1978 at Zion Lutheran Church, Eland. The Rev. Clifford Kessen officiated. Interment was in Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood.
