    Age 86. Saturday, September 2, 2000 at Silver Cross Hospital. Late of New Lenox.
    Survived by a son, Marvin (Willa) Bormet; two granddaughters, Brooke Mrs. Donald Jollay and Linda Mrs. Brian Rapson; three grandsons, David (Nicole) Bormet, Brent (Amy) Baker and Brad Baker; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Bormet; seven great-grandsons, Christopher, Jake and Bobby Rapson, Zachariah Bormet, Ryan Baker, Jakob Jollay and Tyler Jollay; a sister, Mrs. Lucille (Vernon) Hansen; two brothers, Edward (June) Lauffer and Clarence "Shorty" (Alma) Lauffer; and a sister-in-law, June Lauffer-Nagel.
    Born in Tinley Park. Living in New Lenox the past 40 years.
    Preceded by loving husband of 45 years, Elmer J. Bormet; a daughter, Lenoria Baker (1992); parents, Louis and Elizabeth (Schuldt) Lauffer; and a brother, Wilbert Lauffer.
    Employed by Sipple's Store in Mokena and Frankfort Hardware. Member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and its Women's League and Chancel Guild.
    Family will received friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, Cedar at Francis Rds., Monday 2-8 PM. Lying in state at Trinity Lutheran Church Tuesday, September 5 9:30 AM until time of services 10 AM with Rev. Doug Hoag officiating. Interment Skyline Memorial Park. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
