Staff Sgt.Dolph Odiorne served in the 816th Bombardment Squadron,483rd Bombardment Group (H) United States Army Air Forces during World War II.In July,1944 while flying out of Sterparone (near Foggia) Italy,his B-17 Flying Fortress(102422) was shot down over Buchenberg,Kreis,Oberallgau,Bayern. (Bavaria) Staff Sgt.Odiorne lost his life during this action.
