A Number of Well-Known Aged People Answer the Final Summons.
Mrs. Susan Trout, widow of the late George Trout, of Landisville, died at the home of Mr. Isaac Groff, her son-in-law, a well-known miller of near Millersville, yesterday morning, aged eighty-seven years. Mrs. Trout was seized with the grip several weeks ago, and to this is attributed the cause of death. After the death of her husband, seventeen years ago, the deceased took up her residence at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Isaac Groff, and has resided there ever since. Mrs. Trout was a life-long member of the New Mennonite Church, having, it is believed, been the oldest member of that denomination in the State. Three of five children survive, as follows: George Trout, of Landisville; Benjamin, of this city, and Mrs. Susan Groff. Those deceased are Jacob S. Trout, of Landisville, and Dr. Henry Trout, of Marietta. The funeral will be held on Monday morning from the residence of Mr. Isaac Groff, with interment and services at the Landisville New Mennonite meeting house at two o'clock.
