He Married Margaret Jean Homan (Birthday 06/13/1920 -) December 18,1942 in Forest Hills Gardens, New York; 4 Children: James Lawrence, Judith Jean, Thomas Homan and Stephen Glenn.

He served in WWII on the US Navy Destroyer USS McCord(DD534). Awarded Silver and Bronze Stars.
