Hattie married Albert Dixon (a cousin to Mattie Dixon Lewis, wife of her uncle, Edmond Lewis) and had two sons, Albert and Aaron Dixon, both born in Clarksville, Texas. Hattie, with her sons, moved to Kansas City, Kansas, where her late mother's sister, Vinna Humphress, lived.
She departed this life on November 5, 1956 at the age of 74 years. She was a resident of Kansas City, KS for many years.
Also predeceasing Hattie was her father, Bill Johnson, and her maternal grandparents.
