Mildred was a member of First United Lutheran Church in Hammond for over 60 years. She sang in the choir at church for more than 50 years. She was a member of the Ruth Circle Prayer Chain, Social Ministry, Senior Friendship, and Crafty Ladies of the church. She was also active in Community Church Women United for over 50 years.
