MRS. E.B. BROKAW EXPIRES IN FLORIDA

Mrs. Brokaw, wife of the president of the Hancock Savings & Loan company, died of a heart attack late Friday night in Florida, according to word received here Saturday.

Mrs. Brokaw, her husband and her sister-in-law, Dr. Maude Brokaw, of Detroit, left Findlay two weeks ago for a winter vacation in Florida.
They left Sarasota, Fla., Friday for Miami and Mrs. Brokaw died at Homestead, a short distance from Miami. It was not known whether she was stricken while they were traveling or after they stopped for the night.
The party had expected to spend three or four weeks in Florida.

Mrs. Brokaw apparently had been in usual health when she left here and since then as far as friends and relatives here knew Sunday evening.

She was born in Liberty township west of the Liberty school and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob B. Wagner. She came to Findlay with her parents when she was 12 years old and resided for a number of years at 915 South Main street. Her maiden name was Alice Wagner.

Beside her husband, Mrs. Brokaw is survived by a brother, Sherman R. Wagner, who lives on the home place in Liberty township, and two sisters, Mrs. W.E. Stephenson, 1024 South Main street and Mrs. David Lotz of Los Angeles, California

Mrs. Brokaw was a member of the First Methodist church and was active in church and club work. She belonged to the Women's Society of Christian Service of the church, the William Shakespeare and Coterie clubs, and Federation of Women's clubs.

She was a graduate of Findlay College and also had studied in New York City.
Her husband, Dr. Brokaw and his sister, Miss Maude Brokaw, of Detroit, accompanied the body back to Findlay. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
