Richard J. Diemer "Dick"
    Age 77. Passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2000 at his late residence.
    Loving husband of Ceil. Beloved father of Chris (Frank) Twardowski, Rick, Jim (Pam), Larry (Tina), the late Steve, Jerry and George (Nancy) Diemer. Grandfather of five and great-grandfather of one. Beloved brother of Bob, Gene, Sr. Margaret O.S.F., the late Joseph, Walter, Gertrude (Rank) and Rev. Charles.
    Dick was an Eagle Scout and received the Silver Skates award for speed skating. He served in the Pacific in WWII aboard the U.S.S. Situla. He was also a Lieutenant on the N.W. Homer Volunteer Fire Department for 12 years. His biggest joy was his work as a Senior Volunteer at the Elwood Children's Garden.
    Memorial services for Dick Diemer will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2000 at 11:00 at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Memorials in his memory to the Elwood Children's Garden or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. NO VISITATION.
