DIED - Abram Amick, on Christmas night, at 3 o'clock, after an illness of two years from the 10th of December. During the long period of his sickness, he was never known to murmur or complain of his sufferings and trials of life, but was always patient and enduring to the last, passing away as quietly as one going to sleep, which is the death of those who die trusting in the Lord. While his death is greatly lamented by his friends, they have lost a worthy member from their circle, never again to be replaced here upon Earth, and while father and mother, sisters and brothers mourn over his departure from this vale of tears, this consolation comes to them, that their loss is his gain He has gained Heaven, which is worth all of life here. His regular attendance at Church and Sunday School while in health, and the pious life which he led, are evidences of his confiding trust in the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He was born Dec. 12th, 1845, and was a member of good standing in the Presbyterian Church. The sympathies of the community are with the bereaved family.
Although we flourish life the rose;
While in its branches green;
Our sparkling eyes in death will close,
No more now to be seen.
