In the name of God, Amen. I, william bentley of the town of Westrlo, and County of Albany, State of New York, being weak of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory. Blessed be Almighty God. For the same do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, in manner following (That is to say). First I give and bequethe unto my beloved wife Abigail Bentley all my Real Estate, one spare of horses, two stays, four cows, and fifteen sheep & farming utensils and waggons for the use of the family until the youngest heir becomes of age - furthermore I give to my beloved wife Abigail Bentley all the household furniture and a woman saddle during her natural life. I do also give and bequethe to my son Alvah Bentley two hundred and fifty dollars providing he stays at home and takes care of the family while he is of age. I also give and bequethe to my son George H. Bentley two hundred and fifty dollars with the fulfillment on his part of the aforesaid aid proviso unless he chose to learn a trade. I also give and bequethe to my live youngest sons Edwin Bentley and Alexander Bentley two hundred and fifty dollars each provided they do not learn a trade and live to home and help take care of the family whilst they both become of age and then the two thirds of the real estate and personal estate to be equally divided after the aforesaid sums are taken out and debts paid amoungst the heirs whose names are hereafter mentioned. and lastly as all the personal property to be put out to use for the benefit of the family after the debts are paid until the youngest heir becomes of age - it is to be understood that all the real and personal property is to be under the controls of the Executrix and Executors until the youngest heir becomes of age and then to be divided amoungest the heirs as before mentioned (viz) Olive Capwell, Smith Hopkins, William Bentley Jr., Amanda Winston, Alvah Bentley, Abigail Winslow, George H. Bentley, Edwin S. Bentley,and Alexander N. Bentley. Furthermore I hereby appoint my beloved wife Abigail Bentley Executrix, William Bentley Jr. and William Beardsly Executors, of theis my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
