OBITUARY Iron County Reporter March 2 2005 "Obituaries: Nancy Spicer" with photo
FLORENCE, Wis.-Nancy Spicer, 110, died Feb. 22 at the Florence Villa Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 15, 1895 in Irvine County, Kent., the daughter of the late Dudley and Mary (Woosley) McIntosh. On Sept. 22, 1920 she married Walker Spicer and the couple moved to the Iron River area in 1924. He preceded her in death in 1967.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy (Jess) Kosky and Ruth Kassa, both of Iron River; and a grandson Brian Kassa of Iron River.
In accordance with the wishes of the deceased, there was no visitation.
Private funeral services for the family were held Feb. 24 at the Langenberg Funeral Home-Iron River Chapel with Pastor John Fish of the First Baptist Church in Iron River officiating.
Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery.

INFORMATION FROM RELATIVE Robin McIntosh ([email protected]) of North Carolina whose husband is a great-nephew. Nancy's brother Simpson McIntosh was her husband's grandfather. She says Nancy was the only one in the family that lived to be over 100 years old. She outlived all of her siblings, her husband, one son-in-law and one grandson. Her mind was great until about the last couple years.
