OBITUARY Iron River Reporter Nov 2 1967 "Death Claims W. Spicer At VA Hospital"
Walker Spicer, age 78, of the Hagerman Lake area, passed away Sunday afternoon at the Veterans Hospital in Iron Mountain.
Mr. Spicer was born April 10, 1889 and moved to this area in April 1924, where he resided on a farm. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in Russia.
Besides his wife, Nancy, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jess (Dorothy) Kosky and Mrs. Allen (Ruth) Kassa, and two grandsons of Iron River; three sisters and three brothers reside in Ohio.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 1 at the Fell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Olson officiating. Mrs. Archie Lundquist sang "Abide With Me" and "Rock of Ages," accompanied by Mrs. Harold Anderson, organist.
Interment followed in the family lot in Resthaven Cemetery and many out of town relatives and friends attended.
The pallbearers were Sam Hane, Dillard Puckett, Garland Brooks, Willard Carlson, Ernard McIntosh and Vernon McIntosh. The Fell Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

OBITUARY of Nancy Spicer 2005 says she married Walker Spicer on Sep 22 1920 in Kentucky and the couple moved to the Iron River area in 1924. He died in 1967.
