Gary Keith "Tummy" Carver of Braman, Oklahoma, died Wednesday afternoon, April 7, 2010, in the Blackwell Regional Hospital at the age of 76 years.

"Tummy" Carver was born on August 30, 1933, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Robert Nelson and Faye Lorene (Richardson) Carver.

He grew up in rural Kay County and graduated from Newkirk High School in 1952. He entered the United States Army on October 16, 1953, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on October 18, 1955.

He married Linda Sue Holiday on July 25, 1958, in Newkirk, Oklahoma, and they made their home in Newkirk, Blackwell and Alpena, Arkansas. They later moved to Braman to make their home. He worked for Conoco in Ponca City on the repair gang and retired in March of 1983.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Linda Carver of Braman, Oklahoma; two sons, Gary Carver and wife Lynn of Texas, and R. C. Carver and wife Tammy of Texas; three daughters, Susan Prince and husband Donald of Lamont, Oklahoma, Connie K. Francis and husband John of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Amy Dawn Cassady of Blackwell, Oklahoma; a sister, Betty Caveny and husband James of Ponca City, Oklahoma; a brother, Val Carver and wife Joan of Missouri; grandchildren, Gary Keith and Mary Carver, Niki and Kyle Langley, Viola Honeycutt, Amanda Honeycutt, Brad Honeycutt, Jacob Hays, Jon Francis, Keisha Carver, Kay Carver, Robbie Carver, Mychel Cassady, Kortnee Cassady and Brytney Cassady; and great grandchildren, Hadison, Kacie, Hunter, Peyton, Haley, Shyler, Cheeroke, Kylee and Chelsea.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Danny and Dean Carver; and a grandson, Brandit Carver.

Graveside services Saturday, April 10th.
