Funeral services for Mary Francis Abney, who departed this life July 23, were held at the McCracken Cemetery Sunday afternoon, July 24, at 4:30 with Rev.H.H. Martin officiating. She was born Mary Francis Kelly on April 22, 1861 and was united in marriage to James E. Abney on Sept. 18, 1881. To this union 9 children were born. She is survived by the husband, six children, 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and one brother. Burial was made under the direction of the Otto Rathburn Undertaking Co. of Sparta.
