Irene Patzner, 83, Jamestown, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.
Irene Schumacher was born Oct. 17, 1926, on a farm in Kidder County, North Dakota, the daughter of Jacob and Mary (Aichele) Schumacher. She married Elvin Patzner on Nov. 17, 1946. They lived on the family farm near Robinson, N.D. She assisted on the farm and milked cows for other farmers. She lived the past five years in Jamestown, four years in Roseadele, and one year at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center. She enjoyed cooking, animals, dancing, music and playing cards.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Calvin, Jamestown, and Melvin, Carrington, N.D.; a sister, Donna Berg, Bismarck, N.D.; a brother, Alvin (Lorraine), Jamestown; and a brother-in-law, Robert Patzner, Minot, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Alma Roemmick.
Memorial service: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Hi-Acres Manor Memorial Chapel, with Chaplain David Fisher officiating.
Visitation: none scheduled. Arrangements by Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
