Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Fletcher, a retired contractor of Dock Construction and a resident of 334 First Avenue, West, died at 9:55 a.m. in Howard Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for three weeks. He was born Dec. 7, 1889, in Jackson County, and had been a lifelong resident of the Coast. He was a member of the North Biloxi United Methodist Church. He is survived by his widow, Beurisa Seymour Fletcher, North Biloxi, two sons, Joseph W. Fletcher, Jr., and Henry Moody Fletcher, North Biloxi; two brothers, Carson Fletcher, Vancleave, and Ibert W. Fletcher, Long Beach; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
