John married Polly Cowee in November of 1789. After her death he married Rebecca Cowee, presumably Polly' sister, on December 15, 1819. John died June 12, 1829 in Westminster, without issue. Family letters refer to the division of John's property among his brothers in the event of Rebecca's death, mentioning that he "left a feeble widow," but she survived until the age of 85.
